These are mandatory courses and students are automatically pre-registered for them dependent on their choice of Internship Track.

Free Elective Class:

These are all free electives and are open to all tracks. Please note that some courses have a limited enrolment and will be filled on a 'first come, first-served basis'.

If you select a course that has limited enrolment, you should also choose an alternative course in case your first course choice is full.

CAS AH 388 British Painting From Holbein to the 20th Century (4cr)  
CAS EC 346 European Capital Markets (4cr) Prerequisite: CAS EC 102 Introductory Macroeconomic Analysis (or non-BU equivalent).
CAS EN 310 British and Irish Writing: Poetry and the Novel Since 1900 (4cr)  
CAS IR 392 Britain and the European Question: The Confluence of History and Politics (4cr) Free elective open to all tracks. Politics and IR track-related elective.
Students may want to petition for HI (History) credit.
CAS IR 427 Seminar in International Business (4cr) Management, Economics and Finance track-related elective.
Please note it is not possible to take both SMG IM 345 and CAS IR 427 while on the programme.

Internship Course (Placement and Tutorial)

Course numbers depend on the field of specialisation in which the student completes his or her internship and are assigned after placements have begun. Placements are contingent on the student’s past experience and available opportunities in any given semester, so flexibility is essential.
