Internship

Internship Information

There are eleven academically led placement tracks offered by the Boston University London Internship Programme which attract a diverse student body with wide ranging career interests.

The London Programme helps students to gain practical knowledge in their fields of interest by offering an internship component. In addition to taking three rigorous 4 credit classes during the 16 week programme, students have the opportunity to experience a British work environment during the eight week internship/work placement phase. The internship is a compulsory component of the programme with students receiving 4 credits for the experience. All internships offered in the UK are unpaid. You cannot legally work and get paid in London through this programme.

As well as the practical experience gained in the workplace the internship has an academic component. All students must complete an Academically Directed Placement Portfolio comprising daily reports, field research and analysis and conclusion sections.

Our EUSA placement team in London works closely with students to select their internship options. Students are preplaced prior to the start of the programme. After discussing their requirements with one of the Internship Managers, students interview with their selected company and decide whether to accept the internship. The EUSA placement team makes every effort to meet students' main internship goals and continues working with students until they find an agreeable placement.

To request specific information about the academic requirments of the internship (work placement) please contact Michael Peplar or Sarah Farrow.
