Course Objectives

• The opportunity to exercise the analytical skills that case analysis requires.
• Provide conceptual frameworks that act as overall guides to strategy formulation.
• Introduce new concepts that help broaden the individual's imagination on multinational management issues.
• Facilitate more effective decision making by developing strategies based on sound decision making techniques and not guesswork.
• Provide a basis for understanding both the economic and the organizational implications of strategic decision making in the multinational environment.

From Fall 2010: students enrolled in IM 345 are strongly recommended not to take this course.

Faculty Information

Dr John Lang holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, Emmanuel College & Judge Business School.  He currently lectures at the University of Hertfordshire School of Management and the University of Cambridge's Judge Business School in various International  Business, Strategic Management and Project Management programmes.  He has previously taught at a number of other US study abroad programmes and US institutions based in London, including Richmond, The American International University in London and the Drexel University programme in association with the Foundation for International Education where he wrote and ran the International Business MBA programme and several BA Business programmes. Dr. Lang has published in academic journals and has a forthcoming text in Project Management.
