COM CM 413: Strategy and Tactics in British Public Relations

Course Objectives

On completion of the course students should:

  • Have been provided with an overview of all disciplines and interests of business in the UK and how PR fits into this and the various functions of the discipline.
  • Be given an insight into the British media, political, social and economic environments and see how PR interfaces with these.
  • Have an understanding of the operational and strategic roles and operations of PR.
  • Gain an understanding of the history and roles of PR in British business and politics.

Faculty Information

Michael HellerDr Michael Heller holds an MPhil and DPhil in History from the Universityof London. He has been teaching for various universities in Britain for twenty years and also has many years of overseas teaching experience having previously taught at Shanghai University, China, and Universtie De La Mediterranee, France.
